This position will lead the tactical direction of the EHS program for (4) facilities in the Los Angeles area.The position reports to the Director of Production with a strong dotted line to the EHS Director located in Texas. Client is looking for a blended background in safety and environmental. 75% local/daily travel required with a company vehicle. Must have at least 3-5 years of plant EHS experience with a Bachelor degree.

Schedule and implement the organization's environmental, health and safety training program to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

Includes new hire orientation, job-specific training, and on-going training to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.

Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, industrial hygiene and safety/health laws, standards, and regulations.

Respond to, investigate, and document all EHS incidents.

Collect, analyze, and document the results of environmental samples from all facilities to ensure compliance with regulations.

Conduct and report recordkeeping requirements for facilitys permits and other environmental regulatory reporting (such as, stormwater sampling, visible emissions observations).

Maintain and organize detailed records for permit requirements.

Build strong working relationships to support the adherence to environmental, health and safety initiatives.
