The Civil Engineer - Project Manager is at the forefront of our most prestigious municipal projects, managing their successful completion from concept to delivery. You'll need to be a superb communicator, with the ability to not only listen to clients' needs but also to communicate those needs to team members effectively. Collaborating, communicating, and partnering with both clients and staff are the key to success in this "go-to" role.

On any given day, you'll:

  • Lead design efforts on municipal and private client projects.
  • Design municipal and civil engineering projects including site design, water supply and distribution, sanitary sewers, water main, storm water systems, streets, and other public and private development projects.
  • Scope and develop proposals, manage projects, and lead design efforts on municipal and private client projects.
  • Proven ability to monitor project budgets to a successful outcome, oversee project teams and meet client expectations.
  • Gather and analyze data on municipal projects and prepare reports, plans and specifications and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities on various types of projects
  • Expand our client base and cross sell services.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Registered professional engineer (PE) in Wisconsin or ability to achieve within one year.
  • Progressive experience managing municipal projects preferably in Wisconsin, the ability to create and maintain working relationships with clients, funding partners and permitting agencies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining clients and obtaining new and repeat work.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations related to civil improvement projects.
Desired skills and experiences:
  • Eagerness to cultivate a team environment where all staff members feel valued and supported and all ideas flow freely.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective client presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with other team members in multiple offices.
  • AutoCAD experience beneficial.
