Location: Green River, WY
Job Type: Contract (Anticipated year-long duration with potential for renewal)
Position Summary: The Civil / Structural Project Manager will oversee the management of civil and structural construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards for a significant soda ash mining and processing operation. The role demands technical knowledge in civil and structural engineering, alongside exceptional project management capabilities and collaborative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Direct civil and structural engineering projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Design and Development: Create innovative civil and structural designs and solutions that align with project specifications. Utilize CAD software for detailed drawings and models.
- Technical Guidance: Offer technical support and direction to the project team throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs and products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement quality control measures and conduct necessary inspections.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers to procure materials and equipment. Assess supplier capabilities, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Effectively communicate project status and challenges to management and team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions within civil and structural engineering functions.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle and foster a safety-oriented culture within the project team.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in civil and/or structural engineering projects within relevant industries.
- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Strong project management skills, including planning and organizing.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is advantageous.
