Job: Credit Manager

Job Type: Full Time / In Office
Location: Wilmington, DE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 to 5:00pm

SUMMARY:
The Credit Manager will work within our Finance Department and oversee the Accounts Receivable and Collections Team (4 employees).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage all aspects of credit, collection, accounts receivable and cash applications
* Provide leadership and training to team of direct reports to help achieve individual, department and company goals
* Continuously develop, implement and improve companywide credit policies, procedures and department processes
* Actively contribute to company leadership team by publishing KPIs and participating in strategic meetings
* Effectively communicate with sales, operations and account managers; develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
* Perform credit checks on potential customers to determine creditworthiness and mitigate risk
* Process credit applications and open new accounts for businesses and individual consumers
* Routinely monitor and update credit limits and terms
* Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure all commitments to customers are met
* Ensure customer payments are correctly applied and all billing and cylinder issues are corrected and resolved
* Accurately code and maintain proper tax exemption status for applicable customers in five states
* File bankruptcy claims; manage bad debt; place customers for collection with third party collection agency

Job Requirements

- MUST HAVE Management Experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in AR, Cash Application, and Collections
- Minimum high school diploma. College degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
