Join Goodwill NNE as a Work Support Specialist as we work together to expand workforce services to individuals with disabilities who are accessing Vocational Rehabilitation services. As a Workforce Support Specialist you are an integral part of the Vocational Rehabilitation team, working one-on-one with service recipients, as well as area businesses as you support the success of your clients career goals

Your day includes meeting service recipients at their work location, ensuring needed accommodations are in place to promote a productive and positive workspace. You will also provide coaching and training, when necessary, ultimately acting as a bridge to service recipients on-the-job independence. **Starting Pay: $14/hour**

**Job Summary:**

1) Provides job assessment, training and support as necessary for persons served in order for them to obtain and maintain employment of their choice.

* Provides instruction and accommodations as outlined in the service plans for service recipients working in a variety of business settings to enable them to perform at their highest level of independence.

* Provides education and support to businesses, co-workers and supervisors.

* Participates in the development of employment service plans.

* Develops/provides job assessments and employment opportunities outlined in service plans.

* Collaborates with referring partners and Goodwill programs for service recipients (attend client meetings, provide information and feedback on service recipients employment opportunities)

2) Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents.

3) Furthers the organizational commitment to triple bottom line results: integrating social, economic and environmental goals into thinking, planning and actions.

**Essential Functions:**

**Communication**

* Provides instruction and accommodations as outlined in the service plans for service recipients working in a variety of business settings to enable them to perform at their highest level of independence.

* Exhibits sound and accurate judgment evidenced by identifying problems, reviewing aspects of the job with appropriate staff and managers and developing timely and alternative solutions.

**Knowledge**

* Provides education and support to businesses, co-workers and supervisors.

* Seeks opportunities to develop skills and knowledge. Maintains all necessary certifications.

* Performs duties in accordance with applicable Federal and safety regulations and the agencys program philosophy, policy and procedures.

* Respects the confidentiality of service recipients and other customers.

**Administration**

* Participates in the development of employment service plans.

* Prepares accurate and timely documentation of service delivery.

**Requirements**

* High school diploma or GED

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Demonstrated ability to work in a variety of employment sites

* Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

* Valid drivers license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine with a satisfactory driving record

* Criminal Record that satisfies Goodwill NNE criteria for this job

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience supporting clients with disabilities or barriers to employment

* ACRE Certified Employment Specialist
