Statement of Job:
The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Simulation Specialist in the Nursing Education Program. The Simulation Specialist is responsible for supporting the ongoing development and growth of the Clinical Simulation Program within the Nursing Education Program. The Simulation Specialist is also responsible for supporting emerging technologies currently being used in Nursing Education as well as the Nursing Education Program's strategic plan.

**Salary**:The hiring salary range for this position is in the low to mid-50s and is commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion.

Qualifications:
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer and technical equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, organize, plan, and problem-solve multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Associate's degree.
- Minimum of one to two years of experience in various simulation modalities (mannequin, audio-visual streaming, or other simulation methods).
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting audio-visual and simulation software and hardware.

**Licenses/Certifications**:

- Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) Certification or willing to obtain within three years of hire.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience within a health professional clinical laboratory and/or simulation center.
- Experience with IT networking, programming, audio-visual, or IT support.
- Experience in higher education and simulation environments.
