Guess what? We're on the hunt for a top-notch Controls Engineer to join our crew in Orlando, FL If you're a whiz at controls engineering projects, this could be your dream gig.

In this role, you'll be the boss of managing controls engineering projects. That means you'll be tackling all sorts of cool stuff like designing control systems, doing DCS/PLC programming, creating control panels, sorting out instrumentation, providing check-out support, and helping with start-ups.

  • Here are some exciting responsibilities you'll tackle:
  • Be the organized and tech-savvy pro who connects with engineers, designers, and drafters like a boss in a multi-disciplined setup.
  • Dive into the world of DCS/PLC control systems, designing, developing, and implementing logic software and hardware that meet process requirements while sticking to local and government codes.
  • Know your stuff when it comes to control panel and system design standards and codes, making sure everything's up to snuff for local and government agencies.
  • Craft detailed documents outlining control configuration and design, including all the nitty-gritty details like operation theories, system descriptions, and test plans.
  • Team up with facility designers to find the best panel locations, keep voltage drops to a minimum, and make sure panels are easy to maintain.
  • Crunch numbers and analyze system designs, covering everything from short circuit protection to power consumption, and beyond.
  • Dive into hazard analysis and find ways to keep our systems safe and sound.
  • Implement redundancy in our control systems to make sure we're ready for anything.
  • Get creative with schematics, using AutoCAD to map out control system configurations, wiring, and equipment layouts.
  • Dive into start-ups and help debug integrated systems, making sure everything runs smoothly from day one.
  • Jump into automation and control system integration projects for clients in industries like entertainment and manufacturing.
  • Lead the way on projects, mentoring lower-level engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Take charge as a Project Manager on smaller projects, from planning and execution to managing budgets and deadlines.

Job Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Directly related experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, instrumentation, components, logic programming, and DCS programming (e.g., DeltaV, Experion, 800xA). Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design (e.g., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens) required. Proficiency in AutoCAD is desired.
  • Key Competencies: Knowledge of contract documents and specifications, ability to collect field data, accurate record-keeping, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
