Requirements

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. Supervise a team of 2-3 accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Coordinate and manage payroll activities, including payroll processing and compliance with relevant regulations. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. Lead and participate in financial audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any audit findings. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA certification preferred. 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Previous experience handling the payroll function; experience with Paylocity preferred Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks is required. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven leadership and team management skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
