Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable oversees the administrative and data processing tasks related to customer invoicing, accounts receivable, and vendor invoicing. This position also ensures the generation of necessary reports to support Sorenson Communications' business development. The Senior Manager will also oversee administrative tasks to support the growth of Sorenson Community Interpreting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all invoice preparation for Sorenson Communications' customers.
  • Ensure the efficient processing of accounts receivable and collections for Sorenson Communications' customers.
  • Supervise the Account Manager administrative team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Sorenson Interpreting Account Managers to ensure customer billing needs are met.
  • Set up new customers in Sorenson's internal software for small customers nationally.
  • Review and supervise regular revenue and payment reporting for all customers.
  • Communicate with customers regarding their invoices to answer questions, provide support, and process credit card payments.
  • Ensure up-to-date and accurate information is reflected in the CRM to track customer behaviors.
  • Review and supervise the production of ongoing reports related to vendor/subcontractor tracking and work with Accounts Payable on vendor invoices.
  • Provide secondary support for key accounts as assigned by the Sorenson Interpreting Account Manager in case of absence.
  • Assist the finance department in implementing credit card payment systems.
  • Assist Sorenson Interpreting Account Managers in training customers on Sorenson billing procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position manages employees and is responsible for their performance management and hiring.
Travel Requirements
  • Less than 25% travel required.
Experience
  • 5 years of management experience, with teams of 3 or more individuals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fluency in American Sign Language is preferred.
  • Experience managing a team of 3-5 individuals to ensure team objectives are met and standards are adhered to.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the language service industry is preferred.
  • Highly organized and disciplined, including the ability to prioritize well and maintain productivity of the team with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to follow directions and orders in all assignments given, keeping focus on priorities while progressing all tasks to completion.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions, including experience working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft CRM and accounting solutions.
  • Ability to work in a dispersed team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written English.
  • Trustworthy with proprietary company information, keeping such information in strict confidence.
  • Ability to develop and implement directions and orders for the team, keeping focus on priorities while progressing all tasks to completion.
  • Ability to develop and implement objectives and standards for each team member to ensure goals are met and standards are adhered to.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in an office environment.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and to handle other computer components.
