This position entails recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and conducting regular month-end balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain bookkeeping records for a variety of clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Perform general accounting tasks, including transaction entry and reconciliation of general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts.
  • Verify, complete, and reconcile invoice payments related to accounts payable, ensuring charges are allocated to the correct accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Utilize various accounting software to generate financial reports for clients.
  • Prepare and submit sales tax returns for business clients.
  • Review client payroll reports and maintain accurate client records.
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients to gain insights into their financial situations and business operations.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software with a quick learning aptitude for new systems.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects independently.
