Frost Bake Shop is a local & family owned business that started in 2004 by the Kloos family. Frost opened it's first retail location in 2013. As of 2022, we have 3 retail locations in the greater Memphis area. We specialize in cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and cheesecakes. We also make customized desserts for weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations. We believe in being open every day, having every menu item every day of the week, and having something taste as good as it looks

Description

The purpose of this job is to oversee the daily operations pertaining to all aspects of the customs department to produce our customized items that are ordered.

Requirements
  • Supervising Decorators performing assigned tasks while ensuring company standards for cleanliness and orderliness are maintained.
  • Ensures that all established company process techniques, guidelines, inventory controls and ordering are followed.
  • Act as a liaison between the store managers, wedding manager, and decorators.
  • Promotes open communication throughout the facility.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and attitude at all times
  • Works with decorators in an efficient and organized manner.
  • May perform other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Cake and cookie decorating skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other employees.
  • Works with other Decorators and managers in an efficient and organized manner.
  • Strong organizational skills for the performance of a variety bakery tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in an air conditioned space, with exposure to extreme cold temperatures. The job also includes occasional exposure to a 0 degree walk-in freezer using appropriate cold-weather gear provided at each location.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (including requirements for working nights/weekends/holidays)
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing.
  • Frequently lifts and /or moves items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
