You will have responsibility for all financial matters of the assigned business unit(s) and will manage a staff. Generally, the Finance Director role will support a complex business area or multiple related smaller business areas. Primary responsibilities include:
Work closely with business unit Manager as well as Leadership team in development and implementation of business unit strategy.
Oversee all aspects of Financial management for the assigned business unit including month end close as well as planning and forecasting.
Closely monitor results of the assigned business unit and proactively work to identify risks and opportunities which are then communicated to management in a concise manner.
Apply a comprehensive understanding of metrics to provide value-added analysis and high impact recommendations to Management.
Reinforce a strong accounting control environment that is in compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide strategic accounting advice to the assigned Leadership team. Encourage smart risk-taking and innovative thinking.
Ensure business deliverables have a big impact on outcomes and are aligned with the overall strategy.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials:
15 years of experience in Finance, Strategy, or Consulting, with a progressively broader scope
5 years’ experience in the banking industry is strongly preferred
History of building successful partnerships with stakeholders, and leading with influence
Demonstrated ability to think deeply and understand the big picture, while working through the details required to ensure accountability for results
Strong communication and partnering skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal colleagues and partners
High level of proficiency in developing value-added analysis, and creating financial models
Proven ability to forecast business performance that considers market conditions, the interest rate environment, product mix, margins, cost structure, and other inputs
Experience attracting, growing, and developing talent, while operating as a player-coach
Ability to work on multiple deliverables within tight deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word
Proficiency with financial databases such as Oracle Hyperion Essbase/Smart View
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
