These applications include, but are not limited to: general cleaning, de-scale and sanitizing; tank and vessel de-scale; pH adjustment and solids separation; desalination; membrane cleaning; waste water treatment; municipal/NSF water treatment; and many others across the CIP, Food & Beverage, HI&I, Construction, Mining, and Transportation industries, as well as others. Reporting to the CEO, the Manager, Water Technologies will lead all business development activities in the above spaces while also providing technical expertise for the company's existing product line. The Manager, Water Technologies will be considered the SME and work with a small team to implement strategic growth objectives including growing the Company's customer base and identifying areas to innovate. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Responsible for the development, strategic growth and leadership of the Industrial in North America initially; Proactively identify and nurture new business opportunities/prospects; Communicate regularly with prospective and existing customers; Develop and innovate company products/services in the Industrial landscape to drive future revenue growth; Organize and lead business development meetings; Convert prospects into customers by supporting or attending discovery meetings/finalist presentations; Work closely with existing and potential customers in North America to identify specific areas where the Products will add value to customers' asset production and operations, and to identify both short and long-term opportunities for the Products; Employ knowledge of other industry product performance compared to Product performance, and where applicable, to show the value of the Products, such as incremental production increases, long term productivity increases or benefits from simplified and safer operations; Exercise knowledge in other disciplines, in combination with knowledge of customers' long-term business strategies to promote Products; Identify customers' challenges and potential opportunities for Products development, and send to Company (via email) a description of the customers' challenges, and samples where necessary, that may assist Company in developing new products/modifying existing Products, if Company determines that there is a suitable business case to do so; Maintain an activity log (CRM); •Identify and overcome water treatment chemical, regulatory, and application issues that arise from customers using our products. Sales & Technical Support: Acting as a Company "Technical Support Partner"; Answering specific questions with regards to Products usage, for both new and ongoing operations; •Executing presentations to peers and presenting Products usage case histories; Representing Fluid at conferences, potentially with a sales stand/display provided by Company or similar marketing efforts; and •Working with the Sales Team and Management to coordinate, plan and execute testing projects. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Passionate about developing new opportunities with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Significant knowledge of the water treatment industry including applicable regulations, application of available technologies and the competitive landscape. Strong analytical skills to determine the best treatment methods and solutions. Strategic thinker, strong business acumen and posses creative problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills (oral & written) to work effectively with colleagues from all parts of the organization and to explain complex techniques to interested, potential laymen parties. Attention to detail. Confident working alone and with others. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook). Experience/Education Bachelor's Degree in a science discipline. 5+ years of experience & knowledge in the Industrial / Water Treatment sector(s).
