Hi w are seeking an experienced Human Resources Consultant for a 3–6-month engagement with our client, a DC based, mission-driven organization with approximately 170 employees that is currently undergoing transition and change.
The consultant will work on a comprehensive audit of the HR department and its functions. Based on the findings, this leader will develop and implement recommendations for the future state of the HR operations and team structure. Key priorities will include:
Assessing current HR policies, practices, technology systems and processes.Identifying gaps and areas for improvement in talent acquisition, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits administration etc.Working with the HR team to begin to implement improvements and recommended changes.Providing strategic HR leadership and guidance to the CFO and other executive team members.Directly managing and developing the 2 current mid-level HR staff members.Begin implementing recommended improvements, changes and new processes.
This is a hands-on, working role that will require rolling up one's sleeves. The ideal candidate will have:10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably with exposure to organizational transitions/turnaroundsExpertise across all areas of human resources including talent acquisition and work force management, compliance, compensation and benefits, employee relations.Proficiency with HRIS systems, and performance management.Excellent project management, strategic planning and consultative skills.The ability to quickly assess complex situations and provide sound recommendations.Strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder management capabilities.
Start-up/high growth company and nonprofit background is a plus.
