Northwest Supported Living, Inc. is looking to expand their Human Resources team. This Monday-Friday, 20 hours/week position will be responsible for tracking employee records, assisting with employee reviews and counseling, enforcing company policies and procedures. As part of the HR team for Northwest Supported Living, Inc. you will assist our employees in both of our locations, Vancouver and Lacey. This position is an in office position located in Olympia Washington. Human Resources experience in a healthcare setting is a plus Caregiving experience can be helpful too.


Qualifications

    Responsibilities
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, and maintaining employment records
  • Be a key resource for employees, providing information on HR policies and procedures
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date Human Resources (HR) files, records, and documentation
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to collect and file all required documents appropriately
  • Conducts or assist with new hire orientation
  • Conducts or assist with post-offer background checks as required
  • Assist with the processing of terminations
  • Assist with planning and execution of special events such as employee recognition events and holiday parties
  • Assist HR team with various research projects and/or special projects
  • Perform a variety of general office support duties; makes copies, handle mail, general office clean-up
  • Track Lacey employee records on monday.com and Paylocity
  • Track Lacey employees on leave/suspension and update status
  • Set up site observations for new hires
  • Work with the Training Mentor
  • Work with the Scheduler and House Managers and follow up on attendance issues: missed punches, late arrivals, OT patterns
  • Assist with and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, evaluations, terminations, and investigations.
  • Remind employees of expiring certificates and licenses
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Be at least 18 Years or older
  • Provide proof of a High School diploma, high school equivalency, or GED upon hire
  • Ability to pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check including fingerprints
  • Have or obtain a CPR/First Aid (paid training provided)
  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Have the ability to stand or sit for periods of time, turn/twist
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have strong computer skills
