Nisqually Generations Healing Clinic Human Resources Generalist

The Nisqually Indian Tribe is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join their team at the Nisqually Generations Healing Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and culturally rich environment, supporting the recruitment, retention, and development of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to directors, managers, and employees.
  • Assist with the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, applicant screening, and onboarding.
  • Administer employee benefits, including medical, dental, and life insurance, as well as retirement plans.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with directors, managers, and supervisors to ensure compliance with tribal, local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of increasingly responsible HR experience, or eight years of experience in a related field.
  • HR generalist experience, including classification, compensation, benefits, and training/organizational development.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's license and a driving record that meets the minimum requirements established by the Nisqually Indian Tribes vehicle insurance provider.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, and traditions, and ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
  • Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes.
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and standards in all areas of human resource management.
  • Methods and procedures used in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data.
  • Tribal, local, state, and federal regulations in all areas of employment law.
  • Modern office procedures, practices, and equipment.
