Key Task Responsibilities: Prepare periodic cost evaluation and estimates in coordination with QS team. Prepare work schedule and project timeline. Review drawings and specifications of architectural and engineering plans and documents. Conduct pre-bid conference among the invited contractors and equipment vendors. Submit recommendations on proposed breakdown of contract works and owner supplied materials or equipment. Check bid packages drawings and specifications to eliminate overlapping jurisdiction among separate contractors. Evaluation of technical bid proposals. Provide assistance to consultant in the preparation of the documents required for permit applications. Full-time inspection of work to ascertain that work is being undertaken in conformity with approved plans and specifications. Secure sample materials whenever deemed necessary and supervise testing of the same. Undertake cost evaluation of corresponding works and up to contract additions and deletions of works/items. Evaluate progress of work against the agreed work schedule and submit progress report to the management. Measure and evaluate completed work and recommendations on claims. Require contractor to submit shop drawing for approval of consultant and review as-built plans submitted by contractor. Coordination with Consultants and contractors regarding clarifications on plans and specifications. Maintain documentation for job sites and office records. Assist for initial start-up of all equipment and testing. Coordinate the work of contractors with the activities and responsibilities of the owners and consultant to complete the project in accordance with the owner’s objective on cost, time and quality. Schedule and conduct pre-construction meeting and progress meeting at which contractors, owner, consultant and construction manager can discuss construction issues/matters. Provide a detailed schedule for the operation of contractors on the project and processing of shop drawings and samples and delivery of product including occupancy requirements. Provide monitoring of the schedule as construction progresses. Identify potential variances between scheduled and probable completion dates. Recommend courses of action when the requirements of a contract are not being fulfilled. Revise and refine the approved estimate of construction cost, showing actual costs for activities in progress and estimates for uncompleted tasks. Reviewing and processing of change orders. Recommend necessary of desirable changes to the consultant, review of request for changes, submit recommendations and assist in negotiating change orders. Implement procedure for the review of applications by contractor for progress and final payments. Assist purchasing personnel through review of proposals of vendors to verify conformity to projects specifications prior to purchase of the same. Conduct engineering study and analysis to assist the operations team to resolve recurring operational concerns. Checking and review of equipment operations manual and provide support to operations team during equipment troubleshooting with the equipment vendor. Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering Relevant Experience: With at least 2 years work experience in Project, Design and Construction or Engineering works. Knowledge / Training: Knowledgeable in Autocad (Revit, MEPF, BIM) and Basic Equipment Training (Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical and Life & Safety Equipment) Certification / License: Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer is an advantage Work Condition: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, VITRO Sta.
