PROJECT ENGINEER Qualifications Mechanical Engineer with License 3 to 5 years of project Management Experience in Water/Wastewater treatment or Related Industries. Willing to work hard and dedicate in carrying out the project. Location: Laguna, Calamba, Philippines. Duties and Responsibilities Manage project on time and under budget. Provide ongoing training to keep employees updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices. Knowledgeable in Project management systems, ERP, ACAD, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Gantt Chart. Stay abreast of advancements in water and wastewater treatment technologies. Invest in modern software tools to optimize processes and total life cycle cost and reduce operational costs of the water system. Quality Control Implement a rigorous quality control program to ensure the treated water meets or exceeds regulatory standards. Regularly monitor and test water quality at different stages of the treatment process. Environmental Sustainability Consider implementing environmentally friendly practices, such as energy-efficient technologies and the use of renewable energy sources. Explore ways to minimize the environmental impact of the treatment processes. Emergency Preparedness Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential issues such as equipment failures, chemical spills, or natural disasters. Customer Service Establish effective communication channels with customers. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and address concerns related to water and wastewater services. Data Management Implement robust data management systems for monitoring and reporting purposes. Use data analytics to optimize processes and identify areas for improvement. Identify and assess potential risks to the operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. Develop risk management strategies to mitigate and respond to potential issues. Technical Proficiency Automation and Control Systems: Skills in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation technologies. Instrumentation: Proficiency in the use and maintenance of various instruments used for water quality monitoring and control. Data Analytics Data Interpretation: Analyzing data generated by monitoring systems to make informed decisions and optimize treatment processes. Predictive Analytics: Using data analytics to predict equipment failures, optimize resource usage, and improve overall system efficiency. Regulatory Compliance Understanding Regulations: Staying informed about evolving water quality regulations and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Permitting: Managing the regulatory permitting process and ensuring adherence to permit requirements. Troubleshooting Rapidly identifying and addressing issues that may arise in water treatment processes or equipment. Process Optimization Continuously improving treatment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. Cross-disciplinary Knowledge Chemistry and Microbiology: Understanding the chemical and biological aspects of water treatment processes. Engineering Principles: Applying engineering principles to design and optimize water treatment facilities. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborating with professionals from different disciplines, including engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory experts. Public Communication: Effectively communicating with the public about water quality, safety, and treatment processes. Project Management Capital Projects: Managing the planning, design, and implementation of capital projects, such as plant expansions or technology upgrades. Budgeting and Resource Management: Efficiently managing financial resources and budgets for water treatment projects. Adaptability Technology Integration: Being adaptable to the integration of new technologies and staying current with industry trends. Climate Adaptation: Adapting water treatment processes to address challenges posed by climate change, such as changes in precipitation patterns. Health and Safety Occupational Health and Safety: Ensuring the health and safety of workers through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
