Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Associate is mainly responsible for ensuring that vendor invoices are recorded properly and vendors are paid in a timely manner.
  • Sorts and attaches packing lists to invoices.
  • Enters invoices in computer using the netsuite software system.
  • Sorts and distributes mail.
  • Performs financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Files vendor invoices and checks registers.
  • Interacts with vendors via phone or e-mail to provide payment information and resolve disputes.
  • Issues checks and mail checks according to set schedule.
  • Tracks held checks and prepares weekly check runs.
  • Researches and resolves price issues and receiving errors.
  • Assists various departments with invoice research to resolve problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • College Degree in Accounting or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role/function.
