Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Controller in managing daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Prepare and review GL account reconciliations
  • Approve patient refund payments and assist with the AP process, as needed
  • Cross-train with and provide oversight to Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist on payroll process, benefit reconciliations, etc.
  • Assist with contract and vendor management
  • Track and record physical inventory to ensure accuracy

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree highly preferred
  • Prior experience in a senior accounting role
  • 3+ years of payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliation experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • ADP Workforce Now, Sage Intacct, healthcare setting experience preferred but not required
