As a member of the Digital Engagement Content Marketing and Optimization team reporting to the Content Manager, this role will support the creation and optimization of new and existing content on Redcross.org. Experience authoring in AEM or similar content management system (such as HubSpot, Wordpress, Drupal) is required for this position. This position will work remotely, up to 32-hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. AEM authoring of new pages and edits to existing pages, including:
o Page layout to optimize usability/accessibility
o Working with images (light cropping, resizing, etc.)
o Creating and using experience fragments
o Proofreading
o QA of page content on desktop and mobile
o Quick publishing and managed publishing
2. Light editing of content provided by stakeholders
3. Selecting, cropping and uploading images to our digital asset manager (DAM)
4. Collaborating with team members on major content overhaul projects
5. Collaborating with search engine optimization specialist to develop and implement metadata
6. Participating in online video meetings, as needed
7. Participating in annual in-person meeting in Washington DC, as needed
8. Pulling reports from Adobe Analytics, as needed
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
Required:
•Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus equivalent experience
•1+ years digital marketing experience related to content management, web design, or usability/accessibility
•Experience authoring in AEM or similar content management system (such as HubSpot, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.)
•Experience with analytics software (Adobe Omniture/Analytics preferred)
•Experience with Photoshop or open-source photo editing tools (such as Pixlr)
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects
•Experience collaborating on cross functional teams
•Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment (self-starter, responsive, comfortable with remote meeting tools such as Teams and Zoom)
•Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information
Preferred:
•Experience authoring in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
•Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Slack
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills, including astute attention to detail
Desired:
•Basic knowledge of web accessibility best practices
•Candidates must demonstrate strong commitment and passion for the mission of the ***.
•As this is a remote position, the candidate would be working from their own home or office space, using an *** laptop. Physical requirements are those present in roles that require use of a computer.
