Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Content and Email Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing effective communication plans across email and direct mail channels. The ideal candidate will have proven experience designing and managing email marketing campaigns, including developing drip campaigns that engage and convert target audiences. Exceptional copywriting skills are essential, as the candidate will produce both long and short-form copy for various projects while maintaining an accurate tone and voice for each audience. A strong background in analytics and reporting is also crucial to track and optimize campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional emails, and more.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools (experience with Prospect 2 is a plus but not required) to create automated and drip campaigns that enhance customer journeys.
  • Create compelling and engaging content for email and direct mail communications, ensuring consistency with brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and build email templates, landing pages, and other digital assets that support campaign goals.
  • Utilize A/B testing and other optimization techniques to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
  • Manage email databases and segmentation to ensure targeted and personalized communication with various audience segments.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using analytics tools; prepare regular reports and provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar for email marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with design, marketing, and sales teams to align messaging and drive cohesive marketing strategies across channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in email marketing, content creation, and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Proven experience in writing compelling content in various tones and voices for different audiences.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, list management, segmentation, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (experience with Prospect 2 is a plus but not required).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar industry or sector.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment with occasional travel for events and other engagements.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Hybrid working environment with 3 days in the office and 2 optional remote days.
