Overview:

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has a position available for a limited-term, full-time engineering intern to work on aviation projects in our Rapid City, SD office starting in May/June 2025 and ending in August/September 2025. This position has potential to become a full-time position. Responsibilities include assisting engineers, design technicians, and surveyors with civil engineering projects; performing design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates; assisting with project report preparation; performing field inspections and survey work. A valid drivers license and some overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in civil engineering, construction administration, or a related field or will have by start date.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • construction field experience
  • knowledge of AutoCAD software
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • understanding of basic grading and testing processes
  • knowledge of airport planning and/or design
