Summary

As the Manager of Day-to-day (D2D) Accounting/Transaction Processing under the direction of the Shared Business Operations leadership, your primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day routine and non-routine transaction processing activities within the Healthcare Accounting team. This includes managing the effectiveness, efficiency, and engagement of the team to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Financial reporting: Overseeing the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. General ledger management: Managing the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the records. Account reconciliation: Overseeing the reconciliation of accounts and resolving any discrepancies between records and transactions. Accounts payable and receivable: Overseeing and providing guidance to the accounts payable and receivable processes. Budget management: Leading the budget preparation and monitoring process, ensuring that expenses are in line with budgetary guidelines. Compliance: Ensuring that all financial records and transactions are in compliance with accounting principles and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations. Team management: Managing and developing the accounting team, ensuring that staffs are trained, motivated, and performing effectively. Communication and collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, operations, and executive leadership, to ensure that financial records and transactions are accurately recorded and reported, and to provide guidance on financial matters.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university

Preferred Education: Master’s in Business Administration

Required Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in Accounting/Finance setting and general accounting knowledge.

Three (3) or more years of people management experience.

Preferred Experience: Hospital/Healthcare System, multi-site accounting experience

Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred; Six Sigma

Computer Skills Required: Google Suite preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at the role.
