Equipment Purchasing Assistant

The Equipment/Purchasing Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the internal equipment division. Equipment Purchasing Assistant Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists the Corporate Equipment Manager and Equipment Analyst in the maintenance of the company’s equipment asset inventory by tracking and monitoring usage of each piece of equipment. Assists the Corporate Equipment Manager and Equipment Analyst in the accurate accounting of equipment expenditures to include: (1) Coding Invoices to General Ledger (2) Job Costing (3) Fixed Asset Maintenance. Coordinates with Corporate Equipment Manager and Equipment Analyst to identify equipment needs for each job site. Assists the Corporate Equipment Manager and Equipment Analyst in the maintenance of vendor accounts by reviewing account statements, identifying discrepancies and resolving unsettled issues. Processes equipment transfer forms, weekly damage reports, rental and repair orders and distributes information accordingly. The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. High School diploma or equivalent with minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and Equipment Master within an accounting system. Excellent organizational skills required. Physical Demands Must be able to sit and work directly on computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry in excess of 20 pounds on occasion. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
