Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure peak performance and durability.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing challenges, executing necessary repairs promptly.
  • Implement preventative maintenance activities, such as lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements on both equipment and facility systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to comprehend equipment and system functionalities.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address maintenance requirements and enhance equipment and facility reliability.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to monitor maintenance tasks and document repairs.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy work environment by adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Offer training and assistance to junior technicians and other team members as required.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes, equipment performance, and facility conditions.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, coordinating with the purchasing department to restock as needed.
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor repairs to maintain a safe and well-kept facility.
  • Possess a working knowledge of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Exhibit strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Adapt to project changes based on evolving needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-craft maintenance or facilities maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated systems is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Welding experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment effectively.
  • Visual acuity to inspect and troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
