This role involves the repair and on-site installation of various veterinary equipment. You will learn and adhere to manufacturer guidelines concerning the operation, repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, Maintenance, and Repair of Veterinary Equipment

  • Respond independently to assigned service calls, diagnosing issues and executing necessary repairs.
  • Handle repairs, loading, delivery, installation, and specification of equipment to comply with manufacturer, federal, and state regulations.
  • Train to perform standard system installations and verify the functionality of all components.
  • Educate customers on the operation and basic maintenance of equipment at their locations.
  • Learn and adhere to specific manufacturer repair guidelines as well as all company policies related to safety and compliance.
  • Complete all required service documentation, including service orders, confirmations, inventory, expense reports, time sheets, and equipment-related items.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by providing technical support following the initial installation of equipment, software, and hardware, ensuring service commitments are met within standard response times.
  • Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator, Equipment Specialist, and Territory Manager.

Inventory Management

  • Identify parts, supplies, or tools necessary to fulfill service requests.
  • Utilize, maintain, and secure testing devices and tools used for adjusting, calibrating, and repairing equipment.
  • Manage vehicle inventory and restock as needed.
  • Conduct physical inventory audits bi-annually.

Asset Management

  • Ensure adherence to vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving practices.
  • Guarantee proper use and maintenance of all company-provided assets, including phones, computers, parts, tools, and uniforms.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a veterinary, medical, or dental setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows-based computer programs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Motivated team player.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 100 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician.
  • Previous experience with X-Ray equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, or electronics.
  • Technical training in biomedical or electronics fields.

This position may require occasional overnight travel.
