Job SummaryThe Veterinary Service Technician is responsible for the repair and on-site installation of various veterinary equipment. This role involves adhering to manufacturer guidelines concerning the operation, maintenance, and installation of equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Independently address assigned service calls, diagnosing issues and executing necessary repairs.
- Equipment Management: Load, deliver, install, and configure equipment in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Customer Training: Educate clients on the proper use and basic upkeep of equipment at their locations.
- Documentation: Complete all required service documentation, including service orders, confirmations, and inventory reports.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Service Coordinator, Equipment Specialist, and Territory Manager.
- Inventory Oversight: Identify parts and tools necessary for service requests and manage vehicle inventory.
- Asset Management: Ensure the proper maintenance of company assets, including vehicles and tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-5 years of experience in a veterinary, medical, or dental setting.
- Proficient in Windows-based PC applications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician.
- Experience with X-Ray equipment.
- Familiarity with SAP software.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical training in biomedical or electronics fields.
This role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 100 pounds, and may involve travel to customer locations for service provision.
