Selected candidate must reside within the Culver City, Santa Monica, Inglewood, Compton, Marina Del Rey, CA areas as this position inspects damage when our insureds have a water loss or fire loss. This position cannot be done remotely from any other area due to the need for on-site inspection of homeowner's property. This role comes with a company vehicle. Our Field Property Claims Adjusters will: Conduct virtual and field-based investigations by visiting policyholders’ homes to investigate property damage. Use claims handling software, a company car, and laptop to determine claims related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment. Represent the Company from a public relations standpoint and must conduct oneself as a member of Management at all times. Use strong customer service skills to negotiate with policyholders to settle the claim. If you have the following: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage from the inside out. Outgoing personality that enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people. Valid driver's license - final candidates will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check. Candidates must be willing and able to: Climb ladders to inspect roofs as well as access small, confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics) that have been damaged. Physical actions: Bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, reaching, standing, key-entering, walking, kneeling, seeing, sorting and carrying up to 20 lbs. Speaking, reading, and writing (English). Physical environment: Uncontrolled outside environmental conditions Chemicals/Chemical/Biological conditions Moving mechanical parts Areas considered dangerous Conditions which could affect the respiratory system or skin. Experience needed: Customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment. Construction or Insurance experience highly desirable. Candidate qualifications may be reviewed against the requirements for the associated levels of this position's core function. Special skills needed: Excellent communication skills – both written and oral. Proficiency with smartphones and applications. Valid driver's license.
