HealthComp is hiring an experienced Supervisor of Accounting Operations who will support and manage the internal day-to-day financial operations and perform accounting transactions related to group health plans.
If you are highly organized, detail oriented, with excellent time management skills and have at least 5 years of accounting experience as well as 3 years experience supervising teams, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your career with a leader in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Review accounting documents for accuracy, clarity and compliance with company policy and procedures
Monitor the daily performance of the accounting staff
Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports
Assist in training accounting staff; cross train on all trust accounting functions
Adhere to established internal control system
Assist with special projects as assigned by the Trust Accounting Manager
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
5 years proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, or equivalent combined experience and education
3 years experience supervising or managing a team
Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office;
advanced Excel required
Familiarity with GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
