Position Overview:
The Facilities Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing daily operations and administrative functions to ensure adherence to contract specifications. This role involves developing and implementing cost control strategies and service standards to meet customer requirements for designated facilities. The manager will supervise inspections, quality assurance measures, and inventory management of equipment and supplies for the assigned locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in client relations and a proactive approach. A minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in the multi-site service industry is required. This position will be dedicated to a Public School District encompassing 15 schools and over 10,100 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver operational solutions to clients and supervisors.
  • Assist in managing the financial performance of all accounts while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Oversee P&L management, account financial performance, and enhance profitability.
  • Demonstrate a successful history of managing personnel at various levels, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Direct work assignments; evaluate performance; recognize and address employee issues; resolve complaints and manage terminations.
  • Commit to safety and service quality.
  • Oversee daily tasks of subordinates in a dynamic environment.
  • Implement processes and procedures to drive improvements.
  • Ensure services are delivered as contracted and within expected profit margins.
  • Identify and troubleshoot potential issues and concerns.
  • Manage quality control and safety programs at assigned facilities.
  • Seek opportunities to increase revenue by encouraging supervisors to propose additional services to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely submission of all necessary documentation, including terminations and operational reports.
  • Proactively analyze and manage both financial and operational performance of assigned facilities.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and timely submission to payroll personnel, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Provide leadership to Supervisors and Lead personnel assigned to the facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or relevant project management experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive management experience in the building service industry.
  • Proven track record of organic business growth.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities with effective prioritization skills.
  • Capability to execute project plans efficiently.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budget management.
