My client is a respected leader in the roofing and renovation industry, serving the community with unparalleled commitment and excellence. Their corporate office in Memphis, TN is the heartbeat of their operations, and they are on the lookout for a seasoned Accounts Payable Associate to be a part of their dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Processing: Review and verify invoices and check requests. Set invoices up for payment and ensure correct entry into the system. Oversee expense tracking and process expense reports.
Payment Management: Organize and oversee electronic transfers and payments. Conduct regular check runs and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Vendor Relations: Maintain a comprehensive vendor database and liaise with vendors to rectify any invoice discrepancies. Ensure timely receipt of credits for outstanding memos.
Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports and aid in month-end closing activities.
Documentation: Keep an organized and easily retrievable filing system. Ensure all financial records are archived systematically.
Software Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks efficiently for financial data entry, reporting, and other accounts payable functions.
Compliance: Strictly adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures. Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of invoices.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to clear any financial discrepancies and optimize processes.
Continuous Learning: Stay abreast with the latest best practices in accounts payable and pertinent financial regulations. Participate in relevant workshops and training sessions.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
At least 2 years of experience with QuickBooks.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage accounting figures and financial records.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
