The Membership Conversion & Data Specialist plays a crucial role in growing Girl scout membership by identifying and strategically matching interested individuals to Girl Scout opportunities, to reach membership conversion goals. They assist the Community Development staff in creating new troops, developing dashboards and reports to guide membership plans, placing new and renewing members using different lead campaigns and maintaining data integrity according to established membership data processes. The ideal candidate would have experience with inside sales or recruitment and be proficient navigating database management systems such as Salesforce.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Support Girl Scout membership registration by contacting prospective members (leads) in a timely manner, via phone, email, or text communications through exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Contribute to council-wide and individual membership goals using established membership campaigns, data management and knowledge of the Girl Scout experience, to convert leads into members and meet conversion goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across teams and with service unit volunteers to identify gaps in new and renewing membership opportunities and to facilitate placement of girls and adults in troops.
  • Manage data integrity and reporting for council-wide membership databases, including setting up / retiring troops, and identifying non-viable troops and data inaccuracies.
  • Develop, analyze and share membership reports and dashboards that identify community membership strengths and opportunities to guide membership planning.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' Data Management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years" experience in sales or telephone sales, preferred
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

A standard work schedule typically includes Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, however may include evening and/or weekend hours or overtime as business needs require.

TRAVEL

Primarily local during the business day, although occasional regional travel needed for training and development.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid state driver's license and functioning vehicle for work within the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio region. Successful completion of fingerprinting and a criminal background check as required by Ohio law. Commitment to making a difference in girls' lives as expressed in the Ends statements; mission and goals for girls, as noted in the Board Policy Manual.
