Accounting Manager Summary

The Accounting Manager is essential for maintaining the financial wellness and integrity of Oak Hammock at the University of Florida, Inc. The Accounting Manager supervises the accounting department (consisting of roughly 4 team members) in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer. In addition, the Accounting Manager prepares reports for department heads, maintains and develops standards and processes for proper financial management. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence.

Accounting Manager Job Qualifications and Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Accounting/ Finance, plus 2-year experience or 6+ years on-the- job training in lieu of degree; high school diploma required.
  • Proven experience in accounting, with a preference for candidates with healthcare experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Two (2) years supervisory and leadership experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
  • Must be willing to commute or relocate to Gainesville, FL.
