JOB SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for billing, cash application, revenue and cash management as well as some preliminary analysis.

JOB DUTIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process incoming payments: Lockbox, ACH, EFT, Credit Cards, and Wires from commercial and residential tenants and receipts coming to the corporate entity.
  • Responsible for commercial, residential, and corporate AR maintenance
  • Responsible for intercompany cross-entity transactions posting and other corporate billings.
  • Request and ensure processing of approved wires and ACH transfers for the whole portfolio.
  • Commits weekly payments for residential and commercial check runs. Administer and monitor the digital payment portal.
  • Assist with maintaining banking relationships and with opening and closing bank accounts. Resolve discrepancies with banks as well as 3rd party payment processors.
  • Responsible for setting up new bank accounts in Yardi, and establishing ProfitStars and AVID relationships for electronic payment and revenue receipt process.
  • Prepare and distribute tenant/resident bill back, and third-party invoices monthly.
  • Assist with year-end corporate audit and year-end tax preparation for commercial portfolio.
  • Assist with developing advanced analysis tools in Excel: collaborate with the IT department to create custom reports in Yardi.
  • Additional job responsibilities as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong financial background with analytical and numerical proficiency.
  • Experience in Property Management or Real Estate is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with Yardi Voyager, or other ERP software is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, having intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with General Ledger accounting and Treasury functions.
  • Excellent communication skills and general willingness to go the extra mile when needed.
  • Must be able to conduct day-to-day duties with minimum guidance and supervision and quickly prioritize between tasks.
  • Perform all job duties with a positive attitude.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

Employeewill be regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. Employee will be frequently required to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs, reach with hands or arms, and occasionally navigate uneven terrain by foot. Employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal working office conditions in an open setting. Noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
