About this opportunity:

Join Ericsson as an Integration Engineer, an integral role where you will have the opportunity to manage and implement integration services. This is a highly technical and demanding role where you will be involved in architecting, designing, deploying, and troubleshooting proactive monitoring processes and solutions for a telecom customer of Ericsson. It also requires providing requirements, solutions, and directions to vendors to deliver solutions.

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for developing test cases and executing tests in a controlled environment to monitor VoIP calls and analyze local carrier network latency, efficiency, audio quality and possible challenges and issues.
  • You'll work with peers, system vendors, network design engineers, and network operations technical personnel helping to develop and enhance telecommunication services as they interface with Advanced Communication systems of the customer.
  • You will also be involved in the design efforts of VoIP based platforms monitoring efforts and its associated services to ensure corporate and industry standards and to provide a successful evolution to the customer's next generation network.
  • You will ensure these services comply with security standards for the Telecom domain.
  • You will be working on near real-time, highly available systems and protocols like VoIP, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), and RTP (Real Time Protocol) etc.
  • Working with the customer and their vendors to architect, plan, install and troubleshoot services monitoring the Advance Communications products.
The skills you bring:

Required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in RTP and SIP over TLS
  • Experience using AWS Cloud
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools
  • Experience with Asterisk (test tool used to emulate a PBX/IVR or call hub)
  • Knowledgeable or willing to learn about Voice services (IPCC and IP TollFree) and inbound/outbound call flows
  • Experience with Security compliance for CPNI/PII (customer info)
  • Experience working with CDRs (Call Detail Records)
  • Networking knowledge for troubleshooting (amazon direct connect, private/public subnets, Splunk, Wireshark/IrisView for SIP call trace and debugging)
  • Experience in communication with 3rd party vendor/partner (test calls, dashboard) - installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to designing systems for high availability
  • Flexibility to work with teams in PT/MT/ET time zones
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 production support responding to priority 1 and 2 production incidents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Be a team player
  • Have customer management skills in a Managed Services environment setting
  • Provide cross-team/functional training
Desirable:
  • Experience with Cloud Computing, OpenShift environment
  • Experience with Call processing testing with VoIP, SIP, RTP, and DNS protocols
  • Experience with SBC, Enterprise gateways, IP Trunking
  • Exposure to VoIP call processing testing
  • Experience in PBX/IVR test tool installation and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to Continuous testing / continuous deployment methods/ tools
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Exposure to vendor management
  • Exposure to security in the telecommunication domain
  • Exposure to VoIP aware load balancers like F5
