Pay Rate: $60-67 per hour

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with onsite requirements

Interview Format: 30-minute panel interview via WebEx – Streamlined Process

Required Skills:

  • Over 7 years of experience in Middleware technologies
  • Proficient in JBOSS or Oracle WebLogic, along with other Middleware products and web servers such as Tomcat, Apache, and WebSphere
  • Extensive knowledge in application administration, including installation, configuration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Experience with J2EE/Java applications at the enterprise level
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Jython, Python, YAML, and Perl
  • Experience using monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, SiteScope, or AppDynamics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a financial enterprise environment is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Familiarity with ITS Remedy or Jira for incident ticket management and production issue resolution

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is in search of a Middleware Engineer to join a prominent financial client. This role is part of the Architecture and Engineering team, focusing on the Global Wholesale Banking infrastructure applications. The Middleware team is tasked with overseeing a distributed architecture framework that supports J2EE applications.

The selected candidate will possess a solid background in technical infrastructure management and engineering, complemented by hands-on experience. Daily tasks will include:

  • Designing and building web-based application servers within a UNIX infrastructure
  • Collaborating closely with application and testing teams to deploy new applications in JBoss and WebLogic environments
  • Gathering application configuration requirements and coordinating changes with administrators and vendors as necessary
  • Ensuring production stability through ongoing monitoring and support
  • Administering Middleware Application Servers, which encompasses installations, configurations, performance tuning, routine maintenance, and patching of enterprise architectures
  • Working alongside development and testing teams on end-to-end project initiatives, including the creation of new features and infrastructure to support middleware or production servers, and designing for high availability and failover capabilities

This position supports critical projects and necessitates direct engagement with stakeholders. A strong preference exists for candidates with expertise in JBoss, followed by WebSphere and WebLogic.
