Position Summary:

The Integration Systems Specialist is a pivotal member of our System Integration and Testing division. This role encompasses hands-on activities within a laboratory setting, focusing on the integration and troubleshooting of both hardware and software to guarantee optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in networking, Linux systems, automation, and the integration of intricate technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret Interface Control Documents (ICDs), wiring diagrams, and system specifications.
  • Facilitate the integration of hardware and software through practical execution in laboratory environments and client locations.
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineering teams to extract requirements and develop system models.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot software components and networked systems to ensure seamless operation.
  • Configure and manage virtualized environments utilizing tools such as KVM, VMware, or Docker, including the establishment and maintenance of virtual networks.
  • Conduct detailed configurations of Virtual Machines, Containers, and Hypervisor systems.
  • Document system architecture and implementation with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Integration Engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking, Linux, and virtualization environments.
  • Proficient in utilizing NMCLI for managing Linux networking and configuring interfaces with IP addresses, routes, and DNS.
  • Skilled in editing, testing, and troubleshooting Python and Bash scripts, with the ability to enhance scripts for automation purposes.
  • Experienced in interpreting and modifying Linux Kickstart files and build scripts.
  • Proficient in using Clonezilla for device backup and restoration.
  • Capable of configuring Linux security measures (Firewalld and SELinux), including the addition of ACLs and SE policies using semanage.
  • Experience in creating persistent services that remain operational after a reboot.
  • Knowledgeable in downloading APT and YUM packages and establishing an offline repository.
  • Skilled in diagnosing boot failures by entering single-user mode and conducting necessary diagnostics.
  • Proficient in interpreting, applying, and testing Cyber Linux STIGs.
  • Expertise in configuring VLANs, DHCP, and basic routing protocols (such as RIP or OSPF) on Cisco devices.
