What You Will Do
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and cases within a controlled laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and technical personnel to enhance telecommunication services as they interface with cutting-edge communication platforms like Network Server/Router Servers (NSRS), Voice over IP (VoIP), and IP Contact Centers (IPCC).
  • Conduct rigorous testing of VoIP-based platforms and associated services to guarantee compliance with industry standards and corporate guidelines, facilitating a successful transition to next-generation networks for our clients.
  • Work with near real-time, highly available systems and protocols within the telecommunications domain, including TDM (Time Duplex Multiplexing), VoIP, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), RTP (Real Time Protocol), DNS (Domain Name Servers), and SS7 (Signaling System 7).
The Skills You Bring Must Have
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Ribbon (former Sonus) Soft switch – EMS, SGX, PSX, DSI, SBC.
  • Experience with Ribbon (former Genband) – CS2K, C20.
  • Extensive call processing testing experience with VoIP SIP, RTP, and DNS protocols, as well as SS7 ANSI/ITU protocols.
  • Expertise in SIP Trunk configuration, route setup, and message tracing through various routes.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing and OpenShift environments.
  • Experience with call processing testing using VoIP, SIP, RTP, and DNS protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with SBCs, Enterprise gateways, and IP Trunking.
  • Proficiency in setting up or managing firewall policies with Netscreen, MX960, or similar products.
  • Experience in tracing packets through firewalls and troubleshooting dropped packet issues.
  • Experience with software upgrades, failover testing, and preparing Method of Procedures outlining detailed steps for handover to support groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Proven customer management skills in a Managed Services environment.
Desirable
  • Exposure to Continuous testing / continuous deployment methods/ tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Familiarity with security in the telecommunications domain.
  • Exposure to VoIP-aware load balancers like F5.
