In this role, you will...
  • Monitor and advise staff on handling various underwriting issues with a focus on teamwork and embracing challenges and developing creative solutions.
  • Provide mentoring and professional development for the associate underwriters and utilize performance management processes aiming at improving their business proficiency and career development.
  • Monitor and coach staff on meeting the MedPro Group standards of obsessive client focus for all insureds and distribution partners.
  • Manage all activities in support of implementing and maintaining the processing of wing-to-wing underwriting information with a focus on timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Engage and maintain excellent communication with internal cross functional team members to assist the overall divisional goals.
  • Ensure that the Team Trainer is training all staff on all aspects of the Associate Underwriter position.
  • Work with necessary internal colleagues to problem solve and to enhance systems and process.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of all systems and tools that enable the AU's to perform in their role.
  • Assist or oversee with internal audits and determine appropriate action to be taken if necessary.
  • Stay fluent with MedPro's various products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for candidates with...
  • High school diploma (undergraduate degree preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and fluency in the various company systems to a high level of competence.
  • Previous experience in managing staff.
  • RPLU or CPCU Designation preferred.
