About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Underwriter to join our team at Lincoln Financial Group. As an Administrative Underwriter, you will play a critical role in supporting and promoting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meet deadlines appropriately.
  • Makes routine & non-routine decisions, applying limited but increasingly more discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures & guidelines.
  • Applies expanded knowledge obtained from the role in increasingly more complex situations and continues to acquire more knowledge to apply in role.
  • Provides a diverse range of information and performs a diverse range of tasks/transactions related to common programs and services.
  • Applies established underwriting guidelines to increasingly complex new business specifications on non-experienced rated cases to determine eligibility and pricing while working within the defined authority level matrix and pricing targets.
  • Obtains needed increasingly complex information by communicating effectively with internal/external stakeholders while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Escalates underwriting issues/concerns to senior team members (Sr. Administrator UW, Specialist, UW, Consultant, UW, etc.) and/or management.
  • Recognizes issues or concerns, explains effect on the customer's service experience and suggests process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains internal relationships with assigned distribution offices.
  • Adheres to documentation and reporting expectations.
  • Works overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED or minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience.
  • 3-5+ Years of customer service experience and/or other experience within the financial services/insurance industry.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $ - $; with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
