Position Overview: Underwriting Specialist I
Aon is seeking a dedicated Underwriting Specialist I to join our team. This role is designed to support our Affinity-Accountant's program and offers a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate insurance applications and organize pertinent information into digital records
- Solicit further details from the sales team and sub-producers as necessary
- Establish and maintain relationships with brokers
- Adhere to underwriting standards and compliance protocols
- Prepare requests for loss history reports
- Monitor daily workload and account activities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance or a related business field
- Property and Casualty License is mandatory
- Prior experience in underwriting is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Educational Background:
A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree.
