Position Summary:

The Business Applications Manager is responsible for managing United Urology Group's internal business software and applications projects. The role will consult with various business units at UUG to determine needs and requirements, identify potential solutions, assist with software selection and implementation, manage project quality assurance, and oversee ongoing performance optimization. Responsibilities will include solution architecture, consultation on proposed systems and processes, establishment and refinement of best practices, supporting an Agile development process, improving quality, and contributing to UUG's success and culture.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a first line of contact and knowledgeable on UUG's business applications.
  • Assists in the resolution of application problems in coordination with the UUG IT team.
  • Assists in development and implementation of application systems, including training, support activities, and monitoring functionality usage.
  • Conducts system end-user process audits and reports those findings and recommendations to Director of Enterprise Application.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of business applications related to functionality and limitations as applicable to workflow and operational needs.
  • Serves as a resource to Clinicians, Managers, and associates on the features, strengths, and weaknesses of the various applications and systems.
  • Create, cultivate, and manage relationships with vendor partners.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and best practices for our business application systems.
  • Participate in local, regional, or national user groups or organizations to enhance networking and contacts and obtain best practices for implementation as applicable to job positions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience with Financial Systems; NetSuite, Medical Claims systems, RCM, RCx Rules, Coupa, etc.
  • Experience with information systems, clinical software, and other computer applications. Prior experience with Veradigm/Allscripts preferred.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Project management experience required.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
  • Superior leadership, problem-solving, team building, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Tech Requirements for the Job:
  • High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
  • Quiet and private work environment to minimize background noise during calls.
  • Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
  • Compliance with all security and privacy policies and protocols, including safeguarding patient information and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
