Currently seeking a Temporary Project Engineer to join our Katy, TX location. Responsibilities of the Temp Project Engineer include, but are not limited to: Review of project proposals, specifications, and inspection reports to determine engineering requirements, feasibility, and procedures for accomplishing each project. Create and/or review engineering drawings including centrifugal pump component design. Position will share existing engineer department drafting resources. Specification and purchase of engineered equipment. Create shop routings which detail the procedures and tasks that must be accomplished to complete each project. Manage the project timeline to meet required delivery schedules. Issue required customer documentation. Qualifications of the Temp Project Engineer include, but are not limited to: 1-3 years experience in manufacturing/design, SolidWorks skills, and a desire for being hands-on. Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, blowers, compressors) and fabricated pumping systems. Candidate must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Project Management experience and teamwork skills. Experience reading centrifugal pump component designs. Must be able to work independently. Well organized and self-motivated. Must have excellent writing and verbal communication and problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work well in an engineering environment. Great leadership abilities are essential while at the same time being a team player.
