Driving new business growth with assigned existing and new customers. Deep relationship development and proactively seeking new business opportunities. Taking ownership at accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. What key responsibilities would you assume in this role? Business Growth Meet or exceed the sales growth goals within assigned, existing customers and new prospects at acceptable gross margins. Responsible for the development and execution of strategic account plans to drive results. Personally make visits to assigned customers and prospects on a frequent basis to cultivate relationships and expand PMC’s business and competitive position within the accounts. Lead customer engagement opportunities, including proposal presentations, lunch and learns and tours, coordinating with the customer and PMC teams. Account Management Create and execute strategic account plans for protecting existing business, margin preservation, and identifying growth areas within the assigned customers. Proactively drive new business within existing customer accounts to identify maximum potential and achieve sales goals. Understand and articulate both short- and long-term customer needs. Lead all commercial activities at assigned accounts, including price changes and RFQs. Coordinate the completion of customer agreements and surveys at assigned accounts with Director of Sales and PMC’s legal review department. New Prospect Development Partnership with Sales Leadership to target and engage new prospects by researching potential new companies for fit with PMC strategy and devising lead generation strategies to build an optimal sales pipeline with targeted prospects. Consistently maintain a healthy and diverse pipeline of prospects throughout the various stages of the PMC sales process. Sales Process Execution Manage end-to-end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, onsite presentations, RFQ response, and work in close collaboration with development engineering and operations teams to ensure that proposed offerings and services fully meet customers’ needs. Coordinate the RFQ/quoting process for assigned opportunities to ensure that accurate and commercially effective quotes are delivered on time. (Quote cost estimates are prepared by the manufacturing plant, with final review by the Business Development and Sales Leadership). Lead customer communications including call reports for all customer visits, updated contact management and monthly reporting on new and existing account development activity. Expand PMC’s reputation and “brand image” within assigned customer accounts and targeted prospects by identifying and educating key influencers on PMC capabilities. Requirements What is needed to thrive in this role? Bachelor’s degree is required. Engineering/Technical, Marketing or Business Administration related degrees are preferred. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience involved in direct sales processes is required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously is required. Demonstrated experience and success with customer presentations and negotiations is required. Experience selling in medical manufacturing business producing products and/or components, assemblies, resin or tooling required. Experience selling plastic injection molding is a strong plus. Competency in Microsoft Office software use (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. A highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and collaborative work style is essential for success in the position. A strong bias for action and self-initiative towards achieving the most important commitments and expected results. Overnight travel, about 20% to 30% of work time, is required for visits to customers and PMC.
