Position Overview:
The Finance Team Leader will be instrumental in overseeing the financial operations of a prominent manufacturing entity within the Shape Technologies Group. This role is essential for ensuring precise financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
The Finance Team Leader will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for:
1. Managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as general ledger activities.
2. Conducting and reviewing complex financial analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations.
3. Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes.
4. Developing and enforcing accounting policies and procedures to guarantee accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
5. Coordinating audits and collaborating with external auditors.
Team Development:
Work closely with the Assistant Controller to mentor and guide accounting personnel, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the team's overall effectiveness.
Compliance and Improvement:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations. Undertake additional financial projects as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with supervisory experience. Candidates should have 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing context, with a background in public accounting being advantageous.
