Overview:
The Intake Scheduling Specialist role at RiverSpring Health Plans by RiverSpring Living, a world-renowned long-term care organization located in Riverdale - North Bronx, will be Under the supervision of the Manager of Intake. The Intake Scheduling Specialist processes referrals; explains the program(s) and their benefits to potential enrollees and their families; addresses Medicaid issues of potential enrollees to Entitlement department and timely follows up on their resolution; schedules RNs visits, communicates to referral source about status of referrals; assures accuracy of data entry and demographic updates; provides office assistance to Intake/Outreach department; performs related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities for the role may include processing all incoming referrals for the relevant plan. Will act as a resource of information about RiverSpring Health Plans and their services to the consumers/families and the outside agencies and staff. Verify Medicaid eligibility for all potential enrollees and address any Medicaid eligibility issues with the Entitlement Department.
Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred 2 years recent work experience in health care setting. Excellent verbal and written communicational skills. Bilingual Chinese required. Ability efficiently use necessary computer software applications (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Compensation: Min. $27.4725 hourly - Max. $30.2197 hourly
