Job Description:

The National Account Director - Veterinary Sales is responsible for achievement of overall sales/profit and KPI goals for National Account Veterinary Sales. This is achieved by setting and monitoring sales targets for each National Account Manager/Business Development, Networking with National Account senior management, all aspects of trade & contract negotiation to develop long-range sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationships across National Accounts. This position is responsible for 65+% in sales of the Veterinary Business Unit and is a Line Manager to first line managers and Technical Leadership (T1-T3) roles.

What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree; Masters of Business Administration preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in managing accounts at headquarter level.
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales leadership experience and/or Veterinary industry experience.
  • Experience successfully working in complex selling environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written) to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat)
  • Successful experience working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ideal candidate should have extensive sales leadership experience through prior experience.
  • The ideal candidate should have displayed consistent results across multiple level sales organizations and/or experience working in the Veterinary industry. Digital dexterity a plus
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Achieve collective National Account scorecard targets - GSV, NSV, Share, P&L, Mars KPIs. This includes development and execution of sales plans to deliver business objectives and performance metrics.
  • Provides technical development to Associates.
  • Oversees the development of client retention and growth plans and strategies across National Accounts
  • Identifies interactions with existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities
  • Implements strategy across National Accounts for new product and innovation distribution. This includes product & digital.
  • Models the leadership behaviors commensurate with the 5 Principles.
  • Creates an open and inclusive environment that fosters diverse perspectives, collaboration, and optimism.
  • Responsible for upholding high standards throughout the National Account team.
  • Actively develops a leadership pipeline through effective coaching of direct team.
  • Anticipates and balances the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Customer Senior Management, Marketing, Finance, Account teams, Digital Sales, Analytics, Digital Technologies, and Scientific Affairs). Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
