HOW YOU FIT The Business Development Representative (BDR) is the sales entry point at Carvertise. The BDR reaches out to prospects using a variety of communication channels, in order to establish, determine and qualify client interest. The BDR introduces qualified leads to sales team members to advance a client relationship to generate revenue. In addition to cold prospecting, you will provide insights, perform analysis and brainstorm with internal partners to best support marketing outreach strategies and efforts. You will champion Carvertise values every day. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Primary Responsibilities: Performs self-directed outreach efforts to identify prospective leads, researches and identifies potential targets; utilizes available resources: mailing lists, dormant account lists, LinkedIn, etc. Develops strategies alongside marketing to maximize outreach efforts to improve lead quality. Performs data mining to identify potential trends. Establishes relationships with prospects through insightful engagement, via telephone or email, to assess prospect need and interest. Qualifies clients based on established criteria and sets appointments with sales designees. Nurtures prospective client relationships, engaging until qualification has occurred and appointment set. Supports data mapping and data cleansing process; maintains accurate CRM records of prospective client activities and insights; updates status reports. Achieves KPIs as assigned, particularly as relates to meetings held. Performs activities that develop high-potential self-gen leads; responds to all provided in-bound leads timely. Adheres to the marketing script while communicating with prospective clients; utilizes guidance to overcome objections. Maintains base understanding of product offerings to field questions from prospective clients. Performs other projects and duties as requested, assigned and/or needed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates in business, marketing or a similar discipline preferred. 1-2 years BDR or outbound sales support experience. Must be capable of meeting weekly/monthly KPI expectations. Previous experience building strong relationships in a fast paced environment. Experience in a sales environment is a plus, but is not required. SKILLS, ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS Organized self-starter with drive to win – takes initiative, manages self, and hits targets in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communicator including speaking, writing, and active listening; effectively engages and provides customer service to prospects. Demonstrates integrity, reliability and discernment to do the right thing; follows through on commitments. Tech/data-welcoming; maintains/utilizes CRM to personal and team benefit. Analytical and data-driven but not prone to over-analysis. Ability to work, gel and build relationships with others to be an effective leader among partners and peers, whether directly or indirectly, internally or externally. Strong contributor capable of receiving (and giving) feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of sources.
