Job Description

As an Activation Sales Representative (ASR), you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities within the state, local, and education (SLED) market. You will develop strategic marketing campaigns based on information provided by Sales Management, Account Managers, and Business Development Specialists to build strong relationships with potential customers.

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Utilize outbound cold calling and prospecting techniques to identify and qualify new leads within the SLED sector.
  • Needs Assessment & Solution Presentation: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and present tailored technology solutions that meet their specific needs. Leverage internal and external resources to provide comprehensive information and support.
  • Relationship Building & Account Management: Cultivate strong relationships with potential customers, effectively communicate value propositions, and guide them through the sales process. Ensure a smooth transition of activated accounts to the appropriate next point of contact within the sales team.
  • Performance & Goal Achievement: Track progress against individual and company sales goals, consistently strive for growth in assigned accounts, and maintain accurate records of all activities and interactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clear and concise messaging.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Adaptability and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation and communication.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or sales, particularly within the technology industry.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • A proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities.
